Acts 27:21-22 (The Message) With our appetite for both food and life long gone, Paul took his place in our midst and said, "Friends, you really should have listened to me back in Crete. We could have avoided all this trouble and trial. But there's no need to dwell on that now. From now on, things are looking up! I can assure you that there'll not be a single drowning among us, although I can't say as much for the ship—the ship itself is doomed.
When your faith is place in God He will watch over you. Sometimes storms can be avoided but when storms come your way it is in God’s hands and there is nothing that will be beyond His power. He will make sure that the storms you face will not be your end. There is nothing you will face that would be beyond God’s out stretched arms. Sometimes we need to be reminded that there is nothing that happens to me which is not Father filtered. What matters is where you place your trust, in man, things of this world or in the God who made it all.
Acts 20:32 (The Message) "Now I'm turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends.

Make a Memory
Deuteronomy 4:9 (Contemporary English Version) You must be very careful not to forget the things you have seen God do for you. Keep reminding yourselves, and tell your children and grandchildren as well.
There are certain smells I associate with certain things. If you smell vanilla what do you think about, sugar cookies maybe. If you smell baby power, you probably think of babies. There is a facial powder that my grandmother used that will instantly remind me of her. That smell will trigger certain memories, like me of playing at grandmother’s house and road trips to see relatives. I love those memories. I remember going to church with grandmother. She may never have expressed to me how she felt about those times but I know that she enjoyed them as much as I did. She was proud when I went to church with her. My children know the smells of their grandparents’ home and they love those smells. What memories will be recalled by your family? What impressions are you leaving for the next generation? Will they be of laughter and love and life lessons? Those moments do not have to be perfect, they just need to be with those you love. Make a memory for you and for them.

Conquer Your Past
Romans 8:31-39 (Contemporary English Version) What can we say about all this? If God is on our side, can anyone be against us? God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won't he freely give us everything else? If God says his chosen ones are acceptable to him, can anyone bring charges against them? Or can anyone condemn them? No indeed! Christ died and was raised to life, and now he is at God's right side, speaking to him for us. Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death? It is exactly as the Scriptures say, "For you we face death all day long. We are like sheep on their way to be butchered." In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love--not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Do you ever wonder what it would be like to conquer your past? This would mean that when satan throws something you did in your face that you could just show him that it was covered by the blood. No longer would you have to hide the shameful things you did because it was covered. Satan only has the ammo to throw at you because you let him. If you gave your life to Christ and asked Him to cover your sins with His blood, then He did just that. You no longer need to live in condemnation of that sin so accept that Jesus did that for you and hold up your shield of faith against the fiery accusations of satan. You are more than a conqueror, walk in your conquest.

Keep Fighting
Joshua 10:25 (Amplified Bible) Joshua said to them, Fear not nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage. For thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom you fight.
1 Timothy 6:11-12 (Contemporary English Version) Timothy, you belong to God, so keep away from all these evil things. Try your best to please God and to be like him. Be faithful, loving, dependable, and gentle. Fight a good fight for the faith and claim eternal life. God offered it to you when you clearly told about your faith, while so many people listened.
I chatted with my pastor the other day. I just wanted to encourage him and let him know how much I appreciated his submission to God’s will and that he was doing a great job. When was the last time you told someone what a great job they were doing or that they are an encouragement to you? We need to let others know when they are doing good. It will encourage them that they are reaching others and to keep fighting the good fight, to not grow weary in do good.

Gaurding Your Testimony
Revelation 12:10-11 (Amplified Bible) Then I heard a strong (loud) voice in heaven, saying, Now it has come--the salvation and the power and the kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our God, and the power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, has been cast out! And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].
Protect your testimony! Don’t let your guard down one minute, satan comes to steal kill and destroy. He cannot take you from God’s hands but he can destroy your testimony. I know several people in the ministry who let their guard down, they did not do anything wrong but when they relaxed their guard satan used someone else to cast a shadow of doubt to their faithfulness to the Lord. Those people did not waiver however their testimony is now changed because of what others have said about them. When we were doing youth work in a church, we had a policy of no closed doors and never alone with the kids. This took away the opportunity for accusations from anyone who wanted to ruin our testimony. When we leave room for satan, he will take that and use it for our harm. But God can take what satan meant for our harm turn it around and use it for our good and God’s glory. Do not leave room for doubt because in the church most people believe us to be guilty even after we are proven innocent. If you know someone who has been accused of something, first pray ask God for His heart in the situation, then follow God’s heart.

Gauge for Our Mouth
Psalm 40:5-6 (The Message) Blessed are you who give yourselves over to GOD, turn your backs on the world's "sure thing," ignore what the world worships; The world's a huge stockpile of GOD-wonders and God-thoughts. Nothing and no one comes close to you! I start talking about you, telling what I know, and quickly run out of words. Neither numbers nor words account for you. Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that's not what you're after. Being religious, acting pious—that's not what you're asking for. You've opened my ears so I can listen.
Knowing when to speak and when to remain silent is difficult to decipher. I have opened my mouth when I should have been quite and kept my mouth shut when I should have spoken up. The only true gauge for time is Holy Spirit; we should listen to Him then act on His prompting.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me to listen and follow Your prompting. Open our ears and hearts to be sensitive to how I interact with others. Please do not allow my words or actions to sway someone away from following You.; let me be a help to spread the message of the Gospel not a hindrance. Lord I love You and thank You for loving me. These things I ask in Jesus name, amen.
