Be Quite and Listen

Psalm 46:10-11 (Amplified Bible) Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

Mark 4:39-40 (New Living Translation) When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

Some people are afraid of silence. They cannot go without the radio or TV turned on. They are the ones that will stay quite. They will talk just to have noise. Even so we still need to have quite once in a while. At times God wants us to be still, rest and wait. He often speaks to us when we stop the noises of the world and be quite and listen.

Love and God Bless,
