Romans 6:8-9 (Amplified Bible)Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him.
It is often said that we see a miracle every time a baby is born and some people say we see a miracle every time someone comes to the saving knowledge of Christ but we really do not want to think of death as being a miracle. But death for the Christian is not final it is the evidence of the miracle that we have changed locations. We are graduating into eternity. We will miss our loved ones here for a while but with Jesus as our Savior then we will have eternity together. Death here on earth is not pretty, sometimes it is painful. Hell is what we deserve but a Christian going to Heaven is a miracle. I have some friends that are with their mother as she has reached what may be her last days here on earth. Today they might see the miracle of that dear saint leaving for home.

Release
Leviticus 19:17-18 (The Message) "Don't secretly hate your neighbor. If you have something against him, get it out into the open; otherwise you are an accomplice in his guilt. "Don't seek revenge or carry a grudge against any of your people. "Love your neighbor as yourself. I am GOD.
Romans 12:18-20 (New American Standard Bible) If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD."
We all have anger issues from our past that we need to face. You may have a real reason to be angry at that person but holding on to that anger can hurt you. And sometimes it is not the person but it is easier to blame someone else for the problems and trials that we faced. First we need to quit blaming others and quit holding grudges; it does not matter if your anger is justified or not. Our attitudes of hate will not only ruin our testimony it can actually make us physically ill and more susceptible to sicknesses. Today it is time to release those anger issues to God; He is much better at handling them than we are. Release that anger and forgive.

In Your Fire
Daniel 3:25 (New American Standard Bible) He said, "Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods!"
When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the fire, their lives were the sacrifice. They were willing to lay down their lives in order to obey God, having no god before Him. They were willing to obey unto their death. But they were not alone, God was right there with them. They were not spared of having to go into the fire but God saw that they were protected from the consequences of that fire. In the midst of your trials Jesus will be there with you and when you walk in obedience to Him He will be protecting you as you face the fires of the enemy.

Perfection
Revelation 21:3-4 (Contemporary English Version) I heard a loud voice shout from the throne: God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.
This is what Jesus paid for, so we would have the privilege of abiding with God for eternity. He will wipe away every tear from our eyes, I know you and I have cried many tears and it will be awesome for God to remove our tears and replace them with His joy. There will be no death, we will never say goodbye to our friends and family again. There will be no gossip, no war, no rebellion, no fears, no sorrow, no broken hearts, no rejection; all these things will be gone. We will fellowship with God, worshiping Him for all eternity. If we have chosen not to accept Jesus’ gift of eternal life with Him then we will spend eternity in hell where there will be crying and anguishing forever. With a choice like this why would anyone choose hell? Thank You Jesus for paying a debt that I could never pay.

Run Straight
Proverbs 15:9-10 (The Message) A life frittered away disgusts GOD; he loves those who run straight for the finish line. It's a school of hard knocks for those who leave God's path, a dead-end street for those who hate God's rules.
Why do we insist on wasting our time taking the wrong paths? We chase everything but the call God has placed on our lives.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Renew our desire to fulfill that call You placed on us from our youth. Forgive us for taking so many detours along the way. You have placed everything we need within us and within our reach. Our vision has been short, please expand our sight, enlarge our territory. Open our eyes, open our hearts. Lord keep our calling before us at all times, help us to always remember and place You first in everything we do. We love You, in Jesus Name, amen.

Trust the Lord
Proverbs 3:5-7 (New American Standard Bible) Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
In today’s world we understand trust but we just do not have it. We think we can take on everything and handle it ourselves. “Do you trust Me? “ That is the message I received in my prayers Sunday morning. “Do you trust Me?” That means do I trust God with my children, with my spouse, with my job, my everything. Am I holding anything back? Do I really trust Him with everything? Trust the Lord is easy to say but hard to let go and let God take control. Trust.

God's Order
Joshua 18:3-4 (New International Version) So Joshua said to the Israelites: "How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you? Appoint three men from each tribe. I will send them out to make a survey of the land and to write a description of it, according to the inheritance of each. Then they will return to me.
How many of us would had just decided that we have been with these people long enough, it’s time to care for our immediate family and ourselves? These people has been together for over forty years, they had fought together. They had seen all their parents pass away in efforts to get where they are. They were so close to being home that they could taste the milk and honey. Yet they waited, they finished their fight, and then Joshua had them set out boundaries. Once the boundaries were in place then the land was given out to possess. God is a God of order, in the proper order God blesses. Life is not a free for all, everything has a place and time. Our time and place must operate in God’s order. We must not try to step ahead of God’s will, we must follow His plan be in His order.

Got Jesus
Romans 10:12-15 (Amplified Bible) [No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith]. For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? And how can men [be expected to] preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings! [How welcome is the coming of those who preach the good news of His good things!]
The Word claims that God sees no difference in Jew and Greek. The only distinction recognized by God is whether or not we accepted Jesus as our Savior. Jesus opened a path for us to have access to the Father. Everyone and anyone can have that access but they must go through Jesus. But someone must tell them about Jesus and what He did for us. I heard someone explain this as one beggar telling another beggar where to find food. With the awesome blessings bestowed on us how can we not tell the world what an awesome God He is. We cannot decide who deserves the salvation of Christ, we must testify to everyone and anyone. Jesus said to love our neighbor; we do not love their sin but that love testifies of Jesus.

Let My Life Bring Joy
Deuteronomy 30:6-9 (The Message) GOD, your God, will cut away the thick calluses on your heart and your children's hearts, freeing you to love GOD, your God, with your whole heart and soul and live, really live. GOD, your God, will put all these curses on your enemies who hated you and were out to get you. And you will make a new start, listening obediently to GOD, keeping all his commandments that I'm commanding you today. GOD, your God, will outdo himself in making things go well for you: you'll have babies, get calves, grow crops, and enjoy an all-around good life. Yes, GOD will start enjoying you again, making things go well for you just as he enjoyed doing it for your ancestors.
It is awesome to think that God would enjoy me. My kids can bring me great joy but if they can bring joy they can also bring sorrow, breaking my heart. I know that I can bring sorrow to God’s heart but my hope is to bring Him joy. Pleasing Him is my desire.
Dear Lord,
Show me how to bring You joy, bind me to Your will, let it be my will. Help me to know Your heart. Lord, thank You for the opportunity to bring You joy, use me. I love You, in Jesus Name, amen.

Old Fashoined Altar
Genesis 12:8 (The Message) He moved on from there to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent between Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. He built an altar there and prayed to GOD.
Why are you not going down to the altar! Do you realize that going to the altar is a sacrifice of worship? Yes you can talk to God anywhere but even Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane prayed to the Father. From Genesis to Revelation there are passages mentioning an altar and calling on the Lord. This is not something that was removed by Jesus’ death. We no longer have to go to a human priest to inquire of the Lord or have him offer sacrifices for our sins; Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. There is nothing to keep you from going to the altar but you and your pride. The altar is where we strip away our pride and lay out everything before God. We do this whether or not people are looking, it is not for show. When you step out to get to that pew it is just you and God, if someone else is looking then maybe God is working on them to do the same and you are opening the opportunity for them. Going down to the altar is not about salvation only, it is about submitting yourself to your King. If you deny Him here the Bible says He will say He never knew you, depart. Talk to Him constantly but every opportunity you get to submit to Him at an altar you better get down there. If the only thing you do is say, “thank You for saving me,” then that sacrifice maybe enough however if He leads you to stay and pray it through then do it. That time is His and you not making that sacrifice is like robbing God. Get down to the altar and pray!

My Load is Enough
Numbers 9:8 (New International Version) Moses answered them, "Wait until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you."
Sometimes we pick up things that are not ours, but if you did this without praying about it then you could be in trouble. Have you ever committed to a task that you really were not gifted to do? I have taken on responsibilities because no one else would do it, or so I thought. Later I found out that someone else was just about to accept the task when I had opened up my mouth. I burdened myself with a task when God had someone else line up for the job, so I was doing things in my own strength without God’s help. If only I would have sought the Lord, He would have told me just to wait. I did not give Him time to talk to the other person; I did not trust Him to take care of things. It is good to walk where God guides and trust Him when He says to wait. My load is enough and I certainly do not need to add things that are not in God’s will.

What's in Your Heart
Jude 1:14-21 (The Message) Enoch, the seventh after Adam, prophesied of them: "Look! The Master comes with thousands of holy angels to bring judgment against them all, convicting each person of every defiling act of shameless sacrilege, of every dirty word they have spewed of their pious filth." These are the "grumpers," the bellyachers, grabbing for the biggest piece of the pie, talking big, saying anything they think will get them ahead. But remember, dear friends, that the apostles of our Master, Jesus Christ, told us this would happen: "In the last days there will be people who don't take these things seriously anymore. They'll treat them like a joke, and make a religion of their own whims and lusts." These are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves. There's nothing to them, no sign of the Spirit! But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!
We will be held accountable for our actions. Everything we do and do not do will be held up against our perfect example, Jesus. There are times when we thought no one was watching that will testify against us in judgment. When we accepted Christ as our Savior, we say that we will follow Him. Yet there are so many who profess to be followers of Christ yet truly only follow after their own personal agenda. What is your agenda, are you following Christ or your own desires? Instead of asking “What’s in your wallet” I am asking what is in your heart?

For the Good of All
1 Kings 3:26-27 (Amplified Bible) Then the mother of the living child said to the king, for she yearned over her son, O my lord, give her the living baby, and by no means slay him. But the other said, Let him not be mine or yours, but divide him. Then the king said, Give her [who pleads for his life] the living baby, and by no means slay him. She is the child's mother.
The love of a mother surpassed even the judgment of the king. The true mother acted selflessly by wanting to spare the life of her child even though it meant her giving her child away. In today’s society we are taught to think of ourselves above even our own children. We have thrown them away by abortions in order to pursue our own life goals and ambitions. We take them to daycare or set them in front of TVs so we can be free. We forget that children are a gift from God, a blessing. The father was not there to protect his child and that is not right either. Our job as parents is to protect, provide and love the children and raise them to become parents like we were to them. Society has raised kids to be less than the kind of parents theirs were so instead of improving society they have made things worse. If what you are doing doesn’t make things better but worse, then stop doing it. It is time for us to wise-up, if we want a better America then for the Good of all we must improve it, one child at a time.

Holy unto the Lord
1 Corinthians 5:9-11 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
The family unit is supposed to represent the body of Christ and we are to be a living holy sacrifice but we have allowed sin to come in to destroy this unit and taint our sacrifice. We have marred our family unit and our church body by tolerating sin. I have been in churches where some of the members were engaging in sexual sins. Many within the church knew what was taking place but ignored the situation. Some of these situations involved people in prominent positions. We know what God has to say about these things yet we cover our eyes and allow these to continue. Satan knows your weakest point and he will make sure that is the temptation he will place before you. He does not have to kill you all he has to do is destroy your testimony. Once you damage your testimony then the world will not believe what you have to say about God. Protect yourself. Do not let these sins continue otherwise you will be held responsible for those who are hindered by these sins.

Guided By His Light
1 John 1:5-7 (The Message) This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there's not a trace of darkness in him. If we claim that we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we're obviously lying through our teeth—we're not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God's Son, purges all our sin.
Are you stumbling around, wandering about as you try to resolve this on your own? Your direction is found in Him. He is your light, He is your path. He will not lead you to devastation, He has your best interest in His plans. You must trust Him. You cannot do this on your own. There is nothing that cannot be forgiven when you repent, and turn to Him. Give up and let Him be God in your life.
Love and God Bless,

Move On
Genesis 37:23-24 (Amplified Bible) When Joseph had come to his brothers, they stripped him of his [distinctive] long garment which he was wearing; Then they took him and cast him into the [well-like] pit which was empty; there was no water in it.
Joseph had the choice to either be frozen by his fears becoming bitter and angry or he could choose to move on with life. He chose to follow God’s plan. First let me tell you that I am not responsible for your problems. As you came to this world, that will be how you leave; so do not to look at how the world changed you but how you changed the world. Are you going to keep sitting there staring at your computer screen? Change will happen weather you approve or not, weather you hide or not. Joys and sorrows come; you will experience them even when you try not to be a part of this world. I cannot tell you enough that the choices you make affect everyone around you. How you view the world and people in it will be what affects you. It is you who will be responsible for your joy; it is you who will answer for the choices you make. If you choose to only see the problem then you will become frozen by your fears. You will never progress and refusing to move will usher in death. I challenge you to choose to move, a wrong move is not irreversible but fear of making the wrong move will paralyze you. It is time to stop blaming others for your problem; it is time to progress to move beyond your comfort zone.

Wanting More
Leviticus 9:23-24 He and Moses went into the sacred tent, and when they came out, they gave the people their blessing. Then the LORD appeared to the people in all of his glory. The LORD sent fiery flames that burned up everything on the altar, and when everyone saw this, they shouted and fell to their knees to worship the LORD.
Being where God wants you in His presence, is the start to receive His blessings. They came into His presences with other believers. They offered sacrifices both with praises and with their incomes. Then the people were blessed. God accepted their offerings and they worshipped. I have trouble understanding why we seem to have so much going on in our lives that we fail to do these things. God has given us everything even the air we breathe, our heart which He causes to beat pushing the blood He made throughout our body which He also made. We take Him for granted and fail to give Him our worship, praise, tithes, and time. We forget Him while we go on vacations, play golf, go fishing, hunting, shopping to name a few of the things we place before God. If you are content/complacent in your relationship with God then this message is not for you. I am not satisfied, I want more in my relationship. I pray that you want more also.

Time to Move
1 Peter 3:13-18(The Message) If with heart and soul you're doing good, do you think you can be stopped? Even if you suffer for it, you're still better off. Don't give the opposition a second thought. Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you're living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy. Keep a clear conscience before God so that when people throw mud at you, none of it will stick. They'll end up realizing that they're the ones who need a bath. It's better to suffer for doing good, if that's what God wants, than to be punished for doing bad. That's what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others' sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all—was put to death and then made alive—to bring us to God.
If God has laid something on your heart to do, then go after it. Do not worry about failure, it maybe the faithfulness that God wants from you. True failure is to not try. When God places something in your heart, then He will supply the provisions and protection to accomplish it. The only requirements are being led of God and following His plan of action in love. You have got to only go where God leads. Go out now and get busy doing the things that has been placed on your heart.

Clean It Up
2 Chronicles 31:1-3 (Contemporary English Version) After the Festival, the people went to every town in Judah and smashed the stone images of foreign gods and cut down the sacred poles for worshiping the goddess Asherah. They destroyed all the local shrines and foreign altars in Judah, as well as those in the territories of Benjamin, Ephraim, and West Manasseh. Then everyone went home. Hezekiah divided the priests and Levites into groups, according to their duties. Then he assigned them the responsibilities of offering sacrifices to please the LORD and sacrifices to ask his blessing. He also appointed people to serve at the temple and to sing praises at the temple gates. Hezekiah provided animals from his own herds and flocks to use for the morning and evening sacrifices, as well as for the sacrifices during the Sabbath celebrations, the New Moon Festivals, and the other religious feasts required by the Law of the LORD.
Hezekiah cleaned out the junk then he organized the house. Then he designated/budgeted the offerings. When doing the laundry after the dryer, my clothes are all mixed up. When the load is really big of a lot of small things it is easier to take the clothes and dump them on the bed and just start sorting through them, one item at a time. When things in my life began to over whelm me God helps me dump out all the stuff and sort through things, one thing at a time. I could not accomplish this on my own because I made the mess trying to do things on my own, so there is no way I could fix it on my own. I have to trust God, these things will not fixed themselves or disappear, but God will help me go through them, one thing at a time. Like the laundry, I cannot ignore things because it will only grow worse. It is time to face the problems, and trust God to help you sort through things.

Clear as Black and White
Romans 3:21-26 (The Message) But in our time something new has been added. What Moses and the prophets witnessed to all those years has happened. The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in him. For there is no difference between us and them in this. Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. God sacrificed Jesus on the altar of the world to clear that world of sin. Having faith in him sets us in the clear. God decided on this course of action in full view of the public—to set the world in the clear with himself through the sacrifice of Jesus, finally taking care of the sins he had so patiently endured. This is not only clear, but it's now—this is current history! God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in his rightness.
It is time we call sin, “sin”, and not be fearful of being politically correct. There is a line in a song which Carmen sang that said, “instead of coming out of the closet we need to clean it.” America cannot go on candy coating sin so that others won’t be offended. Sin is offense and it is past time to take a stand, to draw the line. The Word of God is clear and we try to hide the fact that if you are wallowing in sin you will die and go to hell. Being born that way is not an excuse the Bible tells us we are all born sinners. Because we were born sinners does not give us an excuse which would keep us from going to hell. There is a price, Jesus paid it but you can only claim this gift if the blood of Jesus has validated your soul. You cannot get into heaven without Jesus’ blood and His blood does not mix with sin. It is like oil and water, if sin is the water then the blood is the oil. When you are standing up to your neck in water the oil cannot cover you however if you step out of the water then the oil can cover you and will remove the water. You have got to get out of that sin so the blood of Jesus can cover you. It is not too late and you can never be too far in sin that the blood would not cover you.

How to Win
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (New International Version) The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Our battles are in the spiritual realm with our greatest battle being within our own minds. We must take captive every thought and submit it to the Lord. We do this by reading the Word of God, prayer and praise. When we read both silently and aloud, we plant the very words of God in our thoughts, training ourselves for battles. By speaking the words we speak life and power and release Heaven to do God’s will. When we read we learn the personality of God and who we need to become. When we pray we are not just talking to God but we listen to Him as well. When we praise we break strongholds and the powers of hell flee, they cannot be where the presence of God is and God inhabits the praise of His people. So today take the Word of God hide it in your heart, take time to talk to God and LISTEN to Him, and don’t forget to get your praise on, He deserves it and you need it.

Deliverance and Victory
Proverbs 21:31 (Amplified Bible) The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance and victory are of the Lord.
Do everything you can to prepare for the battle but know that the victory is the Lord's. My pastor spoke about 2 Chronicles 20 when several armies came against Israel. The word from the Lord was to go to meet them then watch the Lord's deliverance. They prepared for battle, went out to meet them with the praise and worship leading them to the battle and then they watched what God did to their enemies. So prepare for battle with praise and worship and go to face your enemies without fear for the battle REST in the Lord. All the children had to do was fight the internal battle with fear by turning it into faith, then God was released by their faith and praise to deliver and bless the people.

Power in the Spoken Word
John 11:41-42 So they removed the stone Then Jesus raised His eyes, and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. "I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me."
There are more spoken prayers in the Bible than references to meditation prayers. Yet here in today’s society we have promoted praying silently above praying out loud. Spoken prayers open the doors of Heaven. The spoken Word brought to God can heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, and encourage others in Christ. God loves to hear from his kids and He does know your heart if the prayer is unspoken, but the spoken prayer impacts others and builds your own faith. Don’t be ashamed of your faith. It is better to use your mouth for prayer than gossip, you are going to use your mouth for something so choose to use it for the good.

Christ in Me
Ezekiel 37:10-12 (Amplified Bible) So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath and spirit came into [the bones], and they lived and stood up upon their feet, an exceedingly great host. Then He said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried up and our hope is lost; we are completely cut off. Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, O My people; and I will bring you [back home] to the land of Israel.
First God challenged Ezekiel to find life, when it was clarified that the bones offered no hope or life on their own. Then God told Ezekiel to speak life into that which was dead. Ezekiel had no abilities to create life in those dry bones but God does. It was not about what Ezekiel could do, it was about what God was able to do through Ezekiel because of his obedience. God has asked each us to do task that are beyond our own abilities. We must be obedient to His calling, and remember to give God all the glory. It is not me but Christ in me. It does not matter what I see, what matters is what God said to do.

Leave the Past
Isaiah 42:8-9 I am the LORD, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
We cannot live in the past. It is time to dust ourselves off, and quit clinging to the image of how things used to be. So many of us built hopes and dreams on a pastor’s vision for our church, dreams that left went that pastor moved on. We have been wandering around that mountain long enough; the children of Israel would never have entered the promise land if they would have said, but God visited us here at this mountain so this is where we need to stay. We are not getting closer to God by clinging to the past, be it traditions or the Presence of God that you once felt in a place. The Presence of God is not found in a place, a thing, or even one particular person. The Presence of God is found in our worship and praise, it is found by spending time with Him. Today it is time to get up, dust yourself off and get rid of those things which have become idols in your life. There is no room for sacred cows. If you have placed things of the past before God, it does not matter how seemingly practical or useful these things may be, get rid of it. Our God is a jealous God, let go of the past.

Angels Unaware
Hebrews 13:1-2 (Amplified Bible) LET LOVE for your fellow believers continue and be a fixed practice with you [never let it fail]. Do not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers [in the brotherhood--being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it.
Abraham, Lot and Jacob were visited by angels. There may be times that we are aided or warned by angels or people. The point is that God will send angles and people to help us but He may also send them to teach us. If we will look at a hindrance as a life lesson then we may walk through those situations a little differently. Instead of behaving selfishly or resentfully, get out your WWJD and ask yourself, “How would Jesus handle this situation?” We really do need to follow His example. Whether you are entertaining angels or men be careful what you say and do because we are representing Jesus to the world.

From One Victory to the Next
Exodus 15:11-13 (Amplified Bible) Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, doing wonders? You stretched out Your right hand, the earth's [sea] swallowed them. You in Your mercy and loving-kindness have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation.
Sometimes it is easier to follow God if we hear about the Promised Land but not the journey to get there. We will praise God when He brings us through one of the battles. But just like the children of Israel we lose focus on the promise as we look into the next battle. When we received our calling we knew where we would be in the end, but we did not see all the battles we would face to get there. God knows that we would not have the faith to sustain us through if we saw the battles that lay between us and our goal. However if He only lets us see one battle at a time He knows that our faith will increase from each victory building us up to face the next battle. So use your previous victory to face your next battle after all those battles really are not yours, they belong to the Lord.

Encouraging for the Battle
2 Chronicles 32:6-8 (Contemporary English Version) and he appointed army commanders over the troops. Then he gathered the troops together in the open area in front of the city gate and said to them: Be brave and confident! There's no reason to be afraid of King Sennacherib and his powerful army. We are much more powerful, because the LORD our God fights on our side. The Assyrians must rely on human power alone. These words encouraged the army of Judah.
Strength is not only a physical feat but a mental battle as well. Many physical battles often bring on mental battles. We all know others that are facing battles and we need to encourage them in the Lord. We face battles everyday and need to be reminded to be strong and courageous, that the power of our God is greater than satan or anything that this world could throw at us. Today know that God is your source, your protection. Trust that He is enough, He is sufficient.

Facing Storms
Acts 27:21-22 (The Message) With our appetite for both food and life long gone, Paul took his place in our midst and said, "Friends, you really should have listened to me back in Crete. We could have avoided all this trouble and trial. But there's no need to dwell on that now. From now on, things are looking up! I can assure you that there'll not be a single drowning among us, although I can't say as much for the ship—the ship itself is doomed.
When your faith is place in God He will watch over you. Sometimes storms can be avoided but when storms come your way it is in God’s hands and there is nothing that will be beyond His power. He will make sure that the storms you face will not be your end. There is nothing you will face that would be beyond God’s out stretched arms. Sometimes we need to be reminded that there is nothing that happens to me which is not Father filtered. What matters is where you place your trust, in man, things of this world or in the God who made it all.
Acts 20:32 (The Message) "Now I'm turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends.

Make a Memory
Deuteronomy 4:9 (Contemporary English Version) You must be very careful not to forget the things you have seen God do for you. Keep reminding yourselves, and tell your children and grandchildren as well.
There are certain smells I associate with certain things. If you smell vanilla what do you think about, sugar cookies maybe. If you smell baby power, you probably think of babies. There is a facial powder that my grandmother used that will instantly remind me of her. That smell will trigger certain memories, like me of playing at grandmother’s house and road trips to see relatives. I love those memories. I remember going to church with grandmother. She may never have expressed to me how she felt about those times but I know that she enjoyed them as much as I did. She was proud when I went to church with her. My children know the smells of their grandparents’ home and they love those smells. What memories will be recalled by your family? What impressions are you leaving for the next generation? Will they be of laughter and love and life lessons? Those moments do not have to be perfect, they just need to be with those you love. Make a memory for you and for them.

Conquer Your Past
Romans 8:31-39 (Contemporary English Version) What can we say about all this? If God is on our side, can anyone be against us? God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won't he freely give us everything else? If God says his chosen ones are acceptable to him, can anyone bring charges against them? Or can anyone condemn them? No indeed! Christ died and was raised to life, and now he is at God's right side, speaking to him for us. Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death? It is exactly as the Scriptures say, "For you we face death all day long. We are like sheep on their way to be butchered." In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love--not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Do you ever wonder what it would be like to conquer your past? This would mean that when satan throws something you did in your face that you could just show him that it was covered by the blood. No longer would you have to hide the shameful things you did because it was covered. Satan only has the ammo to throw at you because you let him. If you gave your life to Christ and asked Him to cover your sins with His blood, then He did just that. You no longer need to live in condemnation of that sin so accept that Jesus did that for you and hold up your shield of faith against the fiery accusations of satan. You are more than a conqueror, walk in your conquest.

Keep Fighting
Joshua 10:25 (Amplified Bible) Joshua said to them, Fear not nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage. For thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom you fight.
1 Timothy 6:11-12 (Contemporary English Version) Timothy, you belong to God, so keep away from all these evil things. Try your best to please God and to be like him. Be faithful, loving, dependable, and gentle. Fight a good fight for the faith and claim eternal life. God offered it to you when you clearly told about your faith, while so many people listened.
I chatted with my pastor the other day. I just wanted to encourage him and let him know how much I appreciated his submission to God’s will and that he was doing a great job. When was the last time you told someone what a great job they were doing or that they are an encouragement to you? We need to let others know when they are doing good. It will encourage them that they are reaching others and to keep fighting the good fight, to not grow weary in do good.

Gaurding Your Testimony
Revelation 12:10-11 (Amplified Bible) Then I heard a strong (loud) voice in heaven, saying, Now it has come--the salvation and the power and the kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our God, and the power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, has been cast out! And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].
Protect your testimony! Don’t let your guard down one minute, satan comes to steal kill and destroy. He cannot take you from God’s hands but he can destroy your testimony. I know several people in the ministry who let their guard down, they did not do anything wrong but when they relaxed their guard satan used someone else to cast a shadow of doubt to their faithfulness to the Lord. Those people did not waiver however their testimony is now changed because of what others have said about them. When we were doing youth work in a church, we had a policy of no closed doors and never alone with the kids. This took away the opportunity for accusations from anyone who wanted to ruin our testimony. When we leave room for satan, he will take that and use it for our harm. But God can take what satan meant for our harm turn it around and use it for our good and God’s glory. Do not leave room for doubt because in the church most people believe us to be guilty even after we are proven innocent. If you know someone who has been accused of something, first pray ask God for His heart in the situation, then follow God’s heart.

Gauge for Our Mouth
Psalm 40:5-6 (The Message) Blessed are you who give yourselves over to GOD, turn your backs on the world's "sure thing," ignore what the world worships; The world's a huge stockpile of GOD-wonders and God-thoughts. Nothing and no one comes close to you! I start talking about you, telling what I know, and quickly run out of words. Neither numbers nor words account for you. Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that's not what you're after. Being religious, acting pious—that's not what you're asking for. You've opened my ears so I can listen.
Knowing when to speak and when to remain silent is difficult to decipher. I have opened my mouth when I should have been quite and kept my mouth shut when I should have spoken up. The only true gauge for time is Holy Spirit; we should listen to Him then act on His prompting.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me to listen and follow Your prompting. Open our ears and hearts to be sensitive to how I interact with others. Please do not allow my words or actions to sway someone away from following You.; let me be a help to spread the message of the Gospel not a hindrance. Lord I love You and thank You for loving me. These things I ask in Jesus name, amen.

Listen to Him
Mark 9:5-7 (The Message) Peter interrupted, "Rabbi, this is a great moment! Let's build three memorials— one for you, one for Moses, one for Elijah." He blurted this out without thinking, stunned as they all were by what they were seeing. Just then a light-radiant cloud enveloped them, and from deep in the cloud, a voice: "This is my Son, marked by my love. Listen to him."
Peter, James, and John were on the mount of transfiguration in their excitement they all began to talk. Their talk was just rambling on and God told them to just listen to Jesus. Basically God told them politely to shut-up and listen. Sometimes this how we act when something happens in our lives, we get excited and start rambling on, committing to things which we are not going to do. We tend to make all sorts of promises when we need help, so sometimes we need to shut-up and listen. Today instead of rambling on to God about how you are going to do more for Him, go to church more, pray more, give more, or witness more; just shut-up and listen. Do not make promises to God you will not keep, read the Bible and find out what Jesus has to say.

You are Being Watched
Romans 12:15-17 (Amplified Bible) Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others' joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others' grief]. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits. Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and remember He is always watching. I have had the privilege of being back stage for several big name Christian artists and been around several big name speakers. There are a few that when out of the sight of the general public their demeanor changes and they become a little rude or display some other attitude that was not glorifying God. If my faith in God were new or had only been based on their testimony, I would have probably walked away from that experience questioning the reality of God. There is never a time when it acceptable to behave similar to the world. We cannot be in church on Sunday, go to the restaurant and act rude. Also when someone comes to our church, we must not act as though they have intruded in to our space; we must greet them with the love of Christ. You could be affecting not only their opinion of you but of Christ. To the world, we are their first view of Christ and we cannot go about portraying Him to be rude and arrogant. No one would want what you have in Christ if you act like a spoilt child, demanding your way. It is a privilege to serve God and too often we behave like it is His privilege to have us. Today humble yourself in His sight and remember what you say and do outside those church wall affect what happens in them, you could be swaying someone for or against Christ with those actions.

You are Not Forgotten
Isaiah 40:27-31 (Contemporary English Version) You people of Israel, say, "God pays no attention to us! He doesn't care if we are treated unjustly." But how can you say that? Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The LORD is the eternal God, Creator of the earth. He never gets weary or tired; his wisdom cannot be measured. The LORD gives strength to those who are weary. Even young people get tired, then stumble and fall. But those who trust the LORD will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.
You can never go beyond the reach or effect of God. He will never forget you. He knows exactly where you are and what you are doing every second of everyday. He will restore and refresh you, be patient and He will uphold His promises, fulfill your needs and your calling. His time does not fit our time frame, but His timing is perfect, not a second early or late. God has not forgotten you just wait on His perfect timing.

Full Plate
Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message) "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
If you are like me then at one time or another you have had too many things going on at once. I have tried to carry responsibilities that were not mine to carry and I have allowed others plans to supersede mine. It is like going to a buffet and scooping a spoonful of everything on the buffet and then someone else placing a few spoonfuls of their personal choices on my plate as well. Soon I would have food falling off of my plate. Things would not get eaten because I would be full before I reached the bottom layers of food. We often take on responsibilities until we can no longer handle any of them effectively and when we take on someone else’s responsibilities then we also see something fall to the side. If God place a responsibility before you then do it. Do not take on more than He wants you to do because then you will not be able to handle the stress or do a good job.

Cistern or Vessel
Psalms 126: 4-6 And now, GOD, do it again, bring rains to our drought-stricken lives So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.
God has done it before and He will do it again. He had brought Israel through times of drought and famine to blessings and harvest. The church has been in drought and famine long enough it is time for us to repent and call on God to bring us rain. We have been dry so long that we accept it as normal but God has more. The heavens have shut because we hoarded until we became stagnant. The difference between a cistern and a vessel is a cistern is made to store liquid and a vessel is meant for transporting liquid. We have become cisterns hoarding until we become stagnant. God never meant for us to keep His Word and His blessings to ourselves. It is time to cleanse our spirit and become vessels, allowing God to use us.
2 Timothy 2:21 (Amplified Bible) So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.

A Momma's Prayer
Isaiah 30:21-22 (Contemporary English Version) 21Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice saying, "This is the road! Now follow it." 22Then you will treat your idols of silver and gold like garbage; you will throw them away like filthy rags.
I pray these scriptures over my children and I would encourage you to do the same. It does not eliminate free choice of following God but rather assures us that Holy Spirit will be in the face, showing them which way to go.
My prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I bind my children to Your will so that they cannot turn to the left or to the right without the evidence of You in their lives. May they clearly see Your chosen path for them along with the blessings and curses which hinge on their obedience. I release Holy Spirit to work in their lives, this I pray in Jesus name, amen.

Fellowship For All
2 Corinthians 13:14 (New International Version) May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
There were times when I went to church because it was what was expected. I have felt like just not going to church. Maybe the people, the pastor or even an event was distracting me. I know I am not the only one who has felt that way. Honestly I thought the church would have been better off not having to be exposed my attitude but I would not have been better without them. I needed that fellowship ,that lesson, that sermon, and that prayer. I know I am not the only one who has felt that way. But God created us to praise and fellowship with Him, and to fellowship with one another. Why are you going to church? We need that fellowship, you are missed when you are not here. When you are not in church you lose a little strength. I had to change in those situations; I had to remember why God wants me to be in church. It is time to realign your reasons to come to church. We need you and you need us.

In Your Own Strength
2 Kings 2:13-15 (Amplified Bible) He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. And he took the mantle that fell from Elijah and struck the waters and said, Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah? And when he had struck the waters, they parted this way and that, and Elisha went over. When the sons of the prophets who were [watching] at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
The miracle was not done in Elijah’s strength or Elisha’s own strength. It was not done in the mantle’s strength but it was done when he called out to God. How many times do you try to do things in your strength? Like a little child we insist on trying to do things all by ourselves. After we exhaust all other options then we call out to God as our last resort. When God is in control He will receive the glory, just like those prophets recognizing the same Spirit which had been with Elijah was now with Elisha. We not only need to relinquish control but give God the glory. It is time to give up your struggle of trying to do thing in your own strength and give Him the glory.

Season of Produce
Psalm 1:2-3 (Amplified Bible) But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
Dear Heavenly Father,
May they be excited to read Your Word and they desire to follow the words that they read. Give them understanding as they focus upon You and Your Word. Let them become strong and not swayed by every new teaching. Let their faith grow stronger so that when the world seems to be crumbling they will stand in their belief, knowing that You are God and You have everything in Your control. Let them produce fruit like love, joy, and peace. Let them prosper in the midst of the world’s draught so that You will be glorified. These things we ask in Jesus name, Amen.

Silencing
James 2:14-20 (The Message) Dear friends, do you think you'll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, "Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!" and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn't it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense? I can already hear one of you agreeing by saying, "Sounds good. You take care of the faith department, I'll handle the works department." Not so fast. You can no more show me your works apart from your faith than I can show you my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, works and faith, fit together hand in glove. Do I hear you professing to believe in the one and only God, but then observe you complacently sitting back as if you had done something wonderful? That's just great. Demons do that, but what good does it do them? Use your heads! Do you suppose for a minute that you can cut faith and works in two and not end up with a corpse on your hands?
Silencing is described as: making quiet, shutting up, hushing, putting an end to, gagging, stifling, making speechless. There is a song that speaks of government silencing the Word of God. My question is why, since we are living in a country which has laws protecting freedom of religion and freedom of speech, are we allowing our voices to be silenced? I do not encourage you to break laws but rather use your protected speech freedom and stand up for what Godly principles. I do not want to pay for abortions. I do not want our children to be taught that sex outside of marriage is okay. I do not want to fund things that go against the Word of God. I do not force my beliefs on others and they should not be allowed to force their beliefs on me. We have become complacent in our beliefs. We believe in Jesus but so do the demons. It is time to utilize the freedoms we have, no longer complacent, and act out and vocalize our faith.

Release the Chains
Exodus 14:13-16 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward! Lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the Israelites shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
The children of Israel were captive in Egypt and up on their release they were led to the edge of the Red Sea. With the Egyptians chasing them, they were cornered and there was no way out. God had Moses tell them not to fear but stand still and just watch what God was going to do.
What is holding you captive? Once He delivers you from that situation, don’t go back, trust that God will protect you. The children were considering returning back to captivity, we often consider doing that ourselves. It looks easier to give up rather than to stand and trust. Today is the day for your to be delivered from your captor, you make the decision to leave your captor and then God will do the rest. You are not to be fearful and stand; the Lord will fight for you. It is time for you to be free of your chains; have peace and rest in the Lord.

Appreciation
Hebrews 13:7-8 (The Message) Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. For Jesus doesn't change—yesterday, today, tomorrow, he's always totally himself.
Traditionally we honor our pastors in October but this week step outside of your schedule and take a look at all the thing they do. Some pastors are bi-vocational so they work a 40 hour a week job then spend time visiting the elderly and sick, preparing sermons, sometimes cleaning the church, tending to repairs, mowing and any other activity that no one else will do. Even the full time pastors carry these same burdens. Our pastors are often over worked and under paid. They are there crying out to God with us and for us through rough times and sharing our joys in the good times. They are faithful, often much more faithful than we are. Show them that their sermons are reaching fertile ground in your heart, start living like Christ. Tell them and show them how much they have blessed your life.

Wanting More
Luke 11:9-11 (Amplified Bible) So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent?
If you are wanting more in your relationship with God then seek Him. You will find Him in His word, you will find Him in your prayer, you will find Him in your praise to Him; you will find Him every time you open your eyes and your heart. Start looking for Him.

Waterlogged Christians
Zephaniah 1:12 (New King James Version) “ And it shall come to pass at that time That I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And punish the men Who are settled in complacency, Who say in their heart, ‘ The LORD will not do good, Nor will He do evil.’
Have you ever wondered why we do not see the miracles that was done in the book of Acts? God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Outside of America, when people learn about Jesus, healings come, miracles happen-why-because those people are absorbing truths of God and THEY BELIEVE. God is still the same. But what He does in other places, what He did in Acts, we are not seeing here in America. The reason is because we are waterlogged Christians. We have been sitting and absorbing in our churches, we do not activate our faith in the Word we have heard. We are so waterlogged we cannot move, we are stagnant and stink. Those other people hear the Word of God and they simply believe; they activate their faith. We must release what we have absorbed; we must believe and activate our faith.

Wait and Listen
1 Kings 19:11-12 (The Message) Then he was told, "Go, stand on the mountain at attention before GOD. GOD will pass by." A hurricane wind ripped through the mountains and shattered the rocks before GOD, but GOD wasn't to be found in the wind; after the wind an earthquake, but GOD wasn't in the earthquake; and after the earthquake fire, but GOD wasn't in the fire; and after the fire a gentle and quiet whisper.
Recently a well known actress converted to Hinduism. She had been to Christian churches and had not recognized God. Other actors look to other false religions to fill that void in their life which is meant for Jesus. After trying all other sources they may turn inward and call themselves god. But there is only one God and the only way to Him is through Jesus. He is found when we listen to the gentle and quiet whisper of Holy Spirit, calling us to repentance. Looking at the world will bring confusion but listening to God brings salvation. Do not let the trends of famous people question your faith, stand waiting on God, He will pass by.

Rest
Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message) "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
Today God wants you to know that He really loves you. His love is encompassing you, embracing you. He knows that you are tired and frustrated but now is not the time for surrender. Take time today to rest in His love, allow Him to restore and revitalize you. Remember as a child climbing up in daddy’s lap and rest your head upon his chest feeling his heart beat and feeling safe. God wants you to find that kind of rest in Him, spending time with Him, trusting Him, listening to Him and resting in Him. He loves you.

God's Reasons
Romans 8:27-28 (Amplified Bible) And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will. We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.
We must all make decisions that can impact not only our lives but those we care about the most. Those decisions should not be based on money, they should be based on the eternal ramifications of our self and those around us. Is our decision going to further God’s kingdom? A few years ago, we had to set aside our family and the ministry to make money just to pay bills. We had two children (18 yrs. & 16 yrs. old), and aging parents, we had to leave home for a month or two at a time. The impact of that time has left our children with a sense of abandonment, although we talked everyday it was not the same as being there. But one of the children is still dealing with the impact of our decision to go work; God is still at work in this situation. If we would have had another option we would have took it. But God is able to take what satan meant for our harm turn it around and use it for our good and His glory. Had we chose to follow our own desires then God could not have protected us and turned this situation around. Make sure the choices you make are for God’s reasons and not your own.

Guidance for Your Decision
John 5:30-33 (The Message) "I can't do a solitary thing on my own: I listen, then I decide. You can trust my decision because I'm not out to get my own way but only to carry out orders. If I were simply speaking on my own account, it would be an empty, self-serving witness. But an independent witness confirms me, the most reliable Witness of all. Furthermore, you all saw and heard John, and he gave expert and reliable testimony about me, didn't he?
1 Corinthians 14:33 (New International Version) For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints,
Have you ever made decisions that were wrong? Just like Jesus said in John, we cannot do a solitary thing own our own, we must heed God’s guidance. We can trust those decisions when they are led by Holy Spirit. Without guidance from the Lord then the decisions we make are self-serving and empty and do not testify of God’s goodness and grace. I face decisions everyday and I know many of you do as well. Do not rush into decisions, if you are confused by the choices then just wait until God gives you a clear choice. Read what God says in the Bible pertaining to similar situations, pray and ask God for His guidance and wait for it, then act on it. He will never give you bad advice, His will is for our good and His glory.

We Cannot Rush God
Hebrews 3:12-19 (The Message) So watch your step, friends. Make sure there's no evil unbelief lying around that will trip you up and throw you off course, diverting you from the living God. For as long as it's still God's Today, keep each other on your toes so sin doesn't slow down your reflexes. If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we're in this with Christ for the long haul. These words keep ringing in our ears: Today, please listen; don't turn a deaf ear as in the bitter uprising. For who were the people who turned a deaf ear? Weren't they the very ones Moses led out of Egypt? And who was God provoked with for forty years? Wasn't it those who turned a deaf ear and ended up corpses in the wilderness? And when he swore that they'd never get where they were going, wasn't he talking to the ones who turned a deaf ear? They never got there because they never listened, never believed.
While sitting at a stoplight, I notice a vehicle pull into the turn-only lane, yet they merely used that lane to get ahead of other traffic. They were in a hurry so they disobeyed laws. The only accomplishment they made was to be one car length ahead; this was hardly worth the effort and certainly not worth breaking the law. Had a police officer been near, their efforts would have been stopped and their pocketbook emptied. We do this in many facets of our Christian walk. We try to rush ahead of where God wants us to be. Many times our efforts to fulfill God’s plan are hindered by our disobedience and our disobedience hinders God’s plan. Our sins slow down our progress and often will result in our downfall. Quit rushing God, trust His timing.

Well Placed Faith
Acts 27:22 (Amplified Bible) But [even] now I beg you to be in good spirits and take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you but only of the ship.
When your faith is place in God He will watch over you. Storms will come your way but God has it in His hands and there is nothing that will be beyond His power. He will make sure that the storms you face will not be your end. There is nothing you will face that would be beyond God’s out stretched arms. One day as I was traveling in through stormy weather, the radio announced that a tornado had been sighted in the area where I was driving. I prayed for God’s protection in my journey. I looked to the sky and saw sun beams breaking through the clouds and touching the ground, they looked like fingers. Suddenly I felt this peace and was reminded that there is nothing that happens to me which is not Father filtered. What matters is where you place your trust, in man and things of this world or in the God who made it all.
Acts 20:32 (New Century Version) "Now I am putting you in the care of God and the message about his grace. It is able to give you strength, and it will give you the blessings God has for all his holy people.

Banished from Eden
Romans 3:22-24 (New International Version) This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
We prefer to blame Adam and Eve for man being banished from Eden. The truth is that if they would not have eaten the forbidden fruit then it would have been the next human and the next human. The truth is that if we would have been the first human we would have done the same thing. Eating that fruit was willfully disobeying, rebelling God’s word. We are not capable of always remaining in complete obedience to God’s commands. It is time to stop blaming Adam and Eve for our not living in Eden, it is time to realize that we are the reason that Jesus had to die, because of our disobedience and rebellion. Accept the fact that you are a sinner and only can receive forgiveness through Jesus. Heaven will be better than Eden do not miss out because of your own rebellion.

If You are Happy, Then Your Face Will Surely Show It
Nehemiah 8:10 (Amplified Bible) Then [Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.
Psalm 19:8(New International Version) The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
Psalm 32:10-11 (Amplified Bible) Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on the Lord shall be compassed about with mercy and with loving-kindness. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you [uncompromisingly] righteous [you who are upright and in right standing with Him]; shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
There is nothing like a smile to bring a change to a complete stranger. In today’s society people are often caught up in their trouble and walk around in worry and fear. It shows on their faces, we are not good at really hiding our emotions. If we as Christians will share that joy that God has given us even if it is merely a simple smile. When in New Jersey, I was visiting a store everyday and every day I would cross paths with certain people. I intentionally gave them a big Texas smile each time I saw them and eventually they began to return that smile, then they would strike up a conversation. I once saw a T-Shirt that said “Smile, it makes people wonder what you’ve been up to.” People really do notice you smiling and are curious as to the source of your joy. There is joy in Christ and not only are we suppose to be enjoying our walk but also sharing it with others. Today share the joy, make a purpose to smile.

Stuck in Mud
Psalm 40:1-3 (Contemporary English Version) I patiently waited, LORD, for you to hear my prayer. You listened and pulled me from a lonely pit full of mud and mire. You let me stand on a rock with my feet firm, and you gave me a new song, a song of praise to you. Many will see this, and they will honor and trust you, the LORD God.
There is a song by Phillips, Craig and Dean which tells us that there is nothing we have done that God cannot forgive when we ask. Our problem is that we do not ask. We push that sin down in to the back of our mind think that it is just too bad. We become swallowed up in this mud pit, hiding that sin. It remains there just eating away on us because we cannot forgive our self so we remain there stuck in the mud. God loves you and wants to forgive you of that sin. Repent, ask for forgiveness, and then forgive yourself.
“I've heard His love is patient, That He always hears a prayer And that His love will follow you Despite the miles My best years of life I wasted Why would He even really care What have I to give That He would find worthwhile you see I just wanna know Tell me how far will He go Will He still reach for me Inspite of who I am Let me tell you
He'll do whatever, whatever it takes His grace reaches lower than your worst mistakes And His love will run farther Than you can run away, my friend He'll do whatever, whatever it takes He'll do whatever it takes” (Phillips, Craig and Dean)

Eagerly Pursue
1 Kings 4:29 (New International Version) God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.
God asked Solomon what he would want and he requested wisdom in order to lead Israel. God granted him wisdom.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (The Message) God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful: wise counsel, clear understanding, simple trust, healing the sick, miraculous acts, proclamation, distinguishing between spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues. All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.
There are different gifts which given to us as believers. These gifts are for furthering the kingdom. Each of us has talents which God has given us, the gifts and talents are to be used for increasing the kingdom and edifying the saints. These gifts are available to all and ALL are valuable for us in service to the Lord. If you ask, not for yourself but for God’s glory, He will not deny these gifts. He wants us to ask for these gifts so that He may receive glory. I have asked for all gifts for this ministry but especially discernment, faith and prophecy but you may need other gifts to enhance your calling or service.
1 Corinthians 14:1 (Amplified Bible) EAGERLY PURSUE and seek to acquire [this] love [make it your aim, your great quest]; and earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual endowments (gifts), especially that you may prophesy (interpret the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching).

Do Not Run
Jonah 1:3 But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD.
Jonah was called by the Lord to go and minister in Nineveh. He not only refused but he ran the opposite direction. Does that sound like something you may have done? We often do that, when God says go we turn the complete opposite direction and run. When Jonah refused to obey then God removed His protection from Jonah and allowed a storm and then a fish but kept his life safe. Are you in the middle of a storm? Do you feel as though you have been swallowed by your problems? But when Jonah repented God heard his prayer and restored Jonah to fulfill His call. Now we have the same opportunity, we can repent and be restored to fulfill our calling.
1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

What are You Doing
Proverbs 16:1-4 To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD. Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. The LORD works out everything for his own ends—even the wicked for a day of disaster.
If you keep your motives in line with God and commit them to God then He will bring them to pass. Any plans you make are known to God and if God has placed that desire in your heart then He will bless it. Just try to make sure that you are following God’s plans and not trying to steer God to your own plan.
Dear Heavenly Father,
There is nothing we plan that is a surprise to You. Lord, place in our hearts Your plans for our lives instead of us trying to convert You to follow our plans. Help us to fulfill Your purpose for our lives, bless us according to Your desire. Protect Your plans and provide for them, in Jesus name. Amen.

Transform Us
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (Amplified Bible) But whenever a person turns [in repentance] to the Lord, the veil is stripped off and taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You came to pay the debt of sin and when we accept that payment You said You will remove our veil. Please take away our veil include the veils we have placed, strip away the things of religions that have blinded us to who You really are. Help us to see You face to face. Help us to transform our lives into Your image, cover us with the righteousness of Jesus. Open our hearts to walk in the Spirit, totally trusting You for each and every step, every breath we breathe. Be glorified through us and in us. Help us to abide in Your word, these things we ask, we need in Jesus name, amen.

Tomorrow's Promise
Exodus 6:4 (Amplified Bible) I have also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their temporary residence in which they were strangers.
1 Peter 1:17-19 (Amplified Bible) And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short]. You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.
We are not given the promise of tomorrow so many choose to live for the day. They want to spend and play just for the joy of the moment. We are not promised to have another second here on this earth but we will have eternity to spend in either Heaven or hell. The decision to follow Jesus you make while you are here on earth is the only factor in your eternal destination. However if you have truly decided to follow Christ the remaining time you spend here on earth should give evidence of that decision to follow Christ. You can still enjoy your journey here but you should always be striving to look like Christ to the world.

Controlling Anger Volume
Proverbs 25:9-12 (The Message) In the heat of an argument, don't betray confidences; Word is sure to get around, and no one will trust you. The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry, And a wise friend's timely reprimand is like a gold ring slipped on your finger.
Psalm 86:15 (New International Version) But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
If our God is slow to anger and display it then we need to hold our temper. We lose the confidence and respect of those around us when we demonstrate our anger. We can use softly spoken words and get better results than if we yell or scream. When someone starts getting loud as their speaking to me, I politely tell them that I am not yelling at them and thereby giving them respect and if they wish to continue the conversation then they must show me respect as well by lowering their voice. Too often we are tempted to join in the contest of volumes but there is often no resolve to this contest. All parties involved are traumatized, the ones doing it find no relief and the witnesses often become frightened and lose confidence in both sides. Be slow to anger, choose your words carefully and speak softly. The scriptures did not tell us to remain silent when there are wrong situations but it also tells you how to approach others when dealing with them.

Breaking Point
1 Chronicles 14:11 (New American Standard Bible) So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there; and David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters." Therefore they named that place Baal-perazim.
Nahum 3:18-19 (New American Standard Bible) There is no relief for your breakdown, Your wound is incurable All who hear about you Will clap their hands over you, For on whom has not your evil passed continually?
A breakthrough means get through, burst through, advance, step forward, breach, penetrate, removal of barrier to progress, and to penetration of the enemy line. A breakdown means to stop working, break, to fail, to collapse, go down, crash, failure to operate, to have personal health crisis, and decomposition into parts. The difference is success or failure. Both words begin the same way with the word break and their meanings both start the same also. They both begin in adversity but it is when you reach that breaking point that they will either become a breakdown or a breakthrough. The decision is really yours, you can let adversity become your breakdown or let God use it to become your breakthrough. By allowing your adversary to overcome you, you will face failure, collapse, have a personal health crisis and your world will decompose around you. By allowing God to bring your breakthrough, you advance, remove barriers, and penetrate the enemy line. So when you get to your breaking point, who are you going to allow to win?

An Oberservation
1 Chronicles 26:29-30 (The Message) From the family of the Izharites, Kenaniah and sons were appointed as officials and judges responsible for affairs outside the work of worship and sanctuary. From the family of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his relatives—1,700 well-qualified men—were responsible for administration of matters related to the worship of GOD and the king's work in the territory west of the Jordan.
Have you ever noticed how we often follow in our father’s footsteps? If your dad was a carpenter then you are likely to be a carpenter. If your parents served in the military then you are likely to as well. If you dad were a preacher then you are likely to become a preacher. This was recorded in the Old Testament times; families were assigned certain task because the entire family had carried those skills. But just as we pass down our good skill we also pass down the bad things we do. Numerous times the Bible spoke of evil kings walking in the ways of their fathers. But there were a few that broke from that pattern; they broke that generational curse and chose to follow God. We are quick to blame our parents for our bad habits and while it is true that we learned from them it is also true that we are free to chose a different path. We do not have to become what they were we can improve our behavior. We will stand alone before God and answer for those choices. Choose today whom you will serve.
Joshua 24:14-15 (Amplified Bible) Now therefore, [reverently] fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the [Euphrates] River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Working Together
Ephesians 2:21-22 (New International Version) In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
It takes all of us working together to do the work of the church. We must become a body to do the serve of Christ to the world. If our brother or sister needs help as part of the body we should all tend to that need. We all have the same goal to glorify Christ, to do His will and minister to others.
Romans 7:4 (Contemporary English Version) That is how it is with you, my friends. You are now part of the body of Christ and are dead to the power of the Law. You are free to belong to Christ, who was raised to life so that we could serve God.
Romans 12:3-5 (New Living Translation) Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
1 Corinthians 12:11-13 (Amplified Bible) All these [gifts, achievements, abilities] are inspired and brought to pass by one and the same [Holy] Spirit, Who apportions to each person individually [exactly] as He chooses. For just as the body is a unity and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form [only] one body, so it is with Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). For by [means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.

Be Quite and Listen
Psalm 46:10-11 (Amplified Bible) Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
Mark 4:39-40 (New Living Translation) When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
Some people are afraid of silence. They cannot go without the radio or TV turned on. They are the ones that will stay quite. They will talk just to have noise. Even so we still need to have quite once in a while. At times God wants us to be still, rest and wait. He often speaks to us when we stop the noises of the world and be quite and listen.

I Have Been Saved
1 Timothy 1:12-17 (Contemporary English Version) I thank Christ Jesus our Lord. He has given me the strength for my work because he knew that he could trust me. I used to say terrible and insulting things about him, and I was cruel. But he had mercy on me because I didn't know what I was doing, and I had not yet put my faith in him. Christ Jesus our Lord was very kind to me. He has greatly blessed my life with faith and love just like his own. "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." This saying is true, and it can be trusted. I was the worst sinner of all! But since I was worse than anyone else, God had mercy on me and let me be an example of the endless patience of Christ Jesus. He did this so that others would put their faith in Christ and have eternal life. I pray that honor and glory will always be given to the only God, who lives forever and is the invisible and eternal King! Amen.
In spite of all I have done, in spite of where I have been, Jesus knowing everything about me, all of my dark secrets, He loved me and gave Himself for me. I cannot imagine where I would be if not for His saving grace. I have known Jesus as my Savoir since I was 5 years old, but that does not mean that I haven’t been tempted and even fell in to sin. I knew Him as my Savior therefore I was able to resist some temptations and those that I succumbed to I received forgiveness for when I repented and turned from the sin. If you are thinking about what sin I could have committed, I’ll tell you it doesn’t matter. Any sin at all still would have made it necessary for Jesus to hang on the cross. There are no lighter sins than others, sin is sin. We have a tendency to grade sin, placing a value to the sin. Had Jesus not died for us then even something like disobeying a traffic light would cause us to be bound for hell. But praise Jesus we have forgiveness available for our sins. If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, then we repent of our sins, then He is faithful and just to forgive us. Then our sin is cast as far as the east is from the west, never to be remembered by our Heavenly Father. From that point we should not repeat that sin and release His forgiveness in our lives, as He forgave us then we should forgive. Ain’t God good. His perfect plan for us is awesome.

Almost Home
Hebrews 12:1-3 (Contemporary English Version) Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won't let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. He endured the shame of being nailed to a cross, because he knew that later on he would be glad he did. Now he is seated at the right side of God's throne! So keep your mind on Jesus, who put up with many insults from sinners. Then you won't get discouraged and give up.
In this race you may not see the end but when you get close satan will combat you harder. You are close to victory, so do not give up, the victory is at hand. Today is not the day you should give up, you must not give in.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Strengthen us for this race, help us to be focused on You, may we bring You glory and honor. Lord, we praise You for the victory we have in You. You are awesome and worthy of our praise. We ask these things in Jesus name, amen.

Faith is not a License
Romans 3:21-26 (Contemporary English Version) Now we see how God does make us acceptable to him. The Law and the Prophets tell how we become acceptable, and it isn't by obeying the Law of Moses. God treats everyone alike. He accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ. All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, he freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins.
God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life's blood, so that by faith in him we could come to God. And God did this to show that in the past he was right to be patient and forgive sinners. This also shows that God is right when he accepts people who have faith in Jesus.
If you are living without Jesus then you are unacceptable to God. If you have faith in Jesus then God accepts you however that does not give you freedom to go on sinning freely. Jesus died for payment of those sins and yet some take His sacrifice lightly and choose to go on sinning. Freedom from sin is not freedom to sin. Faith in Jesus is not a license to freely sin. Next time you consider saying, doing or even thinking something which God considers a sin remember that Jesus died to cover that sin with His blood.
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to never take for granted Jesus’ death and Your forgiveness. Help us to treasure His sacrifice, in Jesus name, Amen.
Love and God Bless,

Laugh
Psalm 126:2 (Contemporary English Version) We celebrated with laughter and joyful songs. In foreign nations it was said, "The LORD has worked miracles for his people."
Psalm 35:9-10 (The Message) But let me run loose and free, celebrating GOD's great work, Every bone in my body laughing, singing, "God, there's no one like you. You put the down-and-out on their feet and protect the unprotected from bullies!"
Proverbs 17:22 (Amplified Bible) A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Sometimes we just need to laugh. It is not just okay but necessary for our physical health. I enjoy hanging out with my friends; we laugh often and hard. It is good for our soul to laugh so hard that tears flow. Look for the joy God sets before you, you do not need to be serious all the time, enjoy laughter.

Hear the Thunder
Joel 2:28-32 (Contemporary English Version) Later, I will give my Spirit to everyone. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will even give my Spirit to my servants, both men and women. I will work wonders in the sky above and on the earth below. There will be blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will turn dark, and the moon will be as red as blood before that great and terrible day when I appear. Then the LORD will save everyone who faithfully worships him. He has promised there will be survivors on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and among them will be his chosen ones.
1 Kings 17:14 (Contemporary English Version) The LORD God of Israel has promised that your jar of flour won't run out and your bottle of oil won't dry up before he sends rain for the crops."
When you hear thunder you know that the rain is coming. First you see one or two drops then the clouds release the down pour. Even if you only see a drop or two do not give up, the anointing is here and it will not run dry. God is getting us ready for a spiritual down pour. Remember when a flood comes your way it will start with one drop of rain. Then when God chooses to He will pour out. It is time we get in line to receive what God wants to pour out. This is the time to make preparations, gather everything we can to hold all God allows, but also walk in the anointing now. Then when He pours out, we will be required to use what we get. Do not constantly take it in only but allow God to use you to pour out on others. If God blesses you then let God use you to bless others.
